Composite fillings, also known as white fillings, are an alternative to ‘silver’ amalgam. The beauty of composite is that it requires less preparation, meaning it is less destructive to the natural tooth structure than traditional amalgam fillings and will bond, reinforcing the remaining natural tooth structure. Composite fillings are also aesthetically pleasing and give the appearance of a natural tooth.
